Follow this step-by-step tutorial to set up AI customization for your products.

Step 1: Select Your Product

Choose a product from your Shopify store that you want to make customizable.

How to do it:

1. Click "Go to Products" above
2. Select a product from the list
3. Click "Manage Styles" for that product

Step 2: Create Style Categories

Style categories help organize your styles (e.g., "Cloth", "Design", "Neck", "Sleeve"). Create categories first, then select them when adding styles.

Or create them as you add styles (they'll appear in the dropdown)

Step 3: Add Styles to Your Product

Create individual styles for your product. Each style belongs to a category and can include an image, description, and optional pricing.

How to create a style:

1. Click "Add New Style" on the product styles page

2. Select Style Category:
• Choose a category from the dropdown (e.g., "Cloth", "Design", "Neck")
• If you haven't created categories yet, go to "Style Categories" page first
• Categories you create will appear in the dropdown for future styles

3. Fill in style details:
• Style Name: What customers will see (e.g., "Navy Blue Fabric")
• Description for AI: Detailed description to help AI generate accurate designs
• Image (Optional): Reference image showing the style
• Price (Optional): Additional cost for this style

4. Click "Create Style"

✨ Creating Categories Inline:

When you select "Create New Category...", a form appears where you can:
• Enter the category name (internal identifier)
• Enter the display name (shown to customers)
• Add an optional description
The category is created automatically when you create the style!

Step 4: Test on Your Storefront

Once you've added styles to a product, customers can see and use them on your product page.

Customer experience:

1. Customer visits your product page
2. Sees the AI Tailor customization section
3. Selects product options (size, color, etc.)
4. Chooses styles from your categories
5. Clicks "Apply Style" to generate a personalized design
6. Adds the customized product to cart with the generated image

💡 Best Practices & Tips

Style Descriptions

Write detailed, specific descriptions for the AI. Include colors, patterns, textures, and any unique features. The more specific you are, the better the AI-generated results.

Reference Images

Upload reference images for your styles. These help the AI understand exactly what you want. Use high-quality images that clearly show the style details.

Organizing Styles

Use categories to organize your styles logically. Common categories include: Cloth/Fabric, Design/Pattern, Neck Style, Sleeve Type, etc. You can create as many categories as needed.

Pricing

You can set optional pricing for individual styles. Choose whether to add to base price, replace it, or keep the base price unchanged.
